Dahlia Vu
President
Dahlia Vu is a leader with determination and assiduousness. She is committed to the HRMA’s success and focused on delivering excellence to achieve that goal. Vu’s innovativity and consistency set the foundation for the dynamic collaboration within the association. She upholds the standards for every member’s performance and dedicates her support to those who need it. As the HRMA President, Vu directs the association’s activities, manages external communication and oversees the work of the executive board. She also supervises the use of resources to ensure the HRMA provides the most valuable experience for events’ attendees.
Simona Celano
Vice president
Simona Celano, a tourism expert, joined HRMA to explore the field of Human Capital Development. She is a responsible, detail-oriented, people-oriented, professional, and ambitious individual with many aspirations to fulfill. After living in three continents and working with people from all over the world over the last 10 years, Celano has developed great interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. This expertise qualified Celano for her position at the HRMA, where she assists the president in coordinating directors’ duties on various projects and ensuring that they are completed on time by guiding and motivating them to fulfill the association's objectives.
Harman Singh Bhoday
Director of Event Management
Harman Singh flew straight to Vancouver, after completing his high school in India, to look for better opportunities and better education. The HRMA offers him the opportunity to put his communication and people skills at work and improve on them. His focused and detailed nature allows him to make sharp decisions and become a great fit for the Director of Event Management position in the association. Despite being well-informed, he welcomes new ideas and appreciates changes for the better. His love for nature is immeasurable and he can always be seen hiking on new terrains whenever he has the time.
Shubham Rastogi
Director of Finance
Shubham Rastogi is a North American Business Management student and a Chartered Financial Analyst enthusiast. He has a strong streak of independence and a humble, friendly, and outgoing personality. Accustomed to a challenging and fast-paced environment, Rastogi follows a logical and analytical approach in problem-solving. He has an extensive background in Finance, International business, Relationship building, Negotiation, Customer service, and Client acquisition. As the Director of Finance, Rasotgi estimates budgets and manages the HRMA’s financial issues. Outside of work, Rastogi lives life one day at a time by doing what he loves: going on adventures, trying new restaurants, and exercising.
Sonal Preet Kaur
Event Coordinator
Sonal Preet Kaur, is from the northern part of India, and has a thirst of exploring new things in life. This thirst led her to switch career path from Literature to Hospitality and Tourism and brought her all the way to Vancouver. She has a keen interest in working in events and is looking for opportunities to grow. Her zeal to build and create along with her optimistic approach towards everything led her to become a member of HRMA team, where she is responsible for coordinating events and brainstorming new ideas that are unique and motivating for others.
Grace Le
Associate
Grace Le is a third-year Tourism Management student with open-minded thinking, enthusiasm, and intense creativity. She always thrives on learning new things, exploring the world, and interacting with nature. Along with her strong concise writing skill, Le’s confidence and sociable character ensure her ability to maintain a professional and respectable image as an Associate in the Media Management team of the HRMA. She is prospecting to find the most valuable ideas to improve her performance within the team’s engagement, improve the association’s media content and assist other her team members whenever needed.
Philviet Nguyen
Associate
Philviet Nguyen is a third-year student in the Bachelor of Business Administration program who has decided to concentrate in Marketing. Nguyen enjoys capturing moments by taking pictures. She embraces nature by exploring new places and going on adventures. As Nguyen takes part in the HRMA as an associate in the Media Management team, she helps the team with media content creation for upcoming events and provides creative ideas for marketing strategies of the association. This opportunity helps Nguyen grow as she develops new skills, expands her network and gets involved with local organizations and communities throughout the lower mainland.
Aurora Moodie
Associate
After living in Calgary for her whole life, Aurora Moodie moved to Vancouver for more opportunities to express her creativity. Social media is the field where she can be her most original self, as she grew up making music videos and Vines, capturing pictures for Instagram, and gathering inspiration from Tumblr. Moodie’s enthusiastic and creative personality made her the perfect associate for the HRMA media team. Moodie creates posts and announcements throughout the association’s social media platforms to increase the HRMA brand recognition.
